Kai Kanani has posted a comprehensive list of webcams on Maui on their blog at:
http://www.kaikanani.com/2015/02/maui-webcams-to-plan-your-day
The site shares some excellent insight into Maui's unique microclimates and uses the webcams to help guests get a better understanding of our weather.
Of great interest to our paddlers is the
webcam on the top of the Sugar Beach Resort just north of the club.
Lights on the building let you can see the surf conditions even at 3am. More interesting is the ability to change the view. Depending on your web browser, you may have a button at the bottom of the image which says "Control views". Pick this button and a pull down menu will appear. In this menu, pick "Old Pier" and you can see what's happening directly in front of the club. At the right time of day, you can see canoes launching and landing. Other views of interest are "Kihei Shoreline" which shows the race course and "Makena" which shows the conditions for those downwind runs.
