Kihei Canoe Club has a comprehensive program for competitive outrigger canoe paddling.  Regatta season runs from late May to early August on most Saturday's.  Regattas have over 40 races depending on age and experience.  They start with Maui County races and culminate in a Hawaii State Championship race.  Practice for regatta starts in the mid March timeframe.

Members may also choose to participate in long distance racing.  Long distance races are held in Hawaii from early August to early October.  But there are races held around world which members can join in.

The International Va`a Federation (IVF) holds world championship races in both sprint and distance categories.  Many racing members of the club participate in these races. Like the olympics, IVF events are held at top locations around the world.

Our coaching staff has many years of collective as well as individual experience.

Paddle practice sessions vary during the year.  Check the club calendar for the latest information.
