Come enjoy a day at the races!

Paddlers Open is an outrigger canoe race open to any level of experience! Gather your friends or coworkers and form a team! We will have Women, Men and Mixed crews for Keiki, Novice, Kupuna and Experienced paddlers. There are also great raffle prizes — join us to paddle or just come down to watch this fun event at Kihei Canoe Club!

HOW TO SIGN UP:

• Get a crew with an experienced steers person
• Contact Damon Austin damonjaustin@gmail.com to schedule practices and use Kihei Club Canoes
• Have everyone that will be practicing and/or paddling on the day of Paddlers Open sign a Hawaii Canoe Racing Association (HCRA) 2026 waiver and KCC waiver. There are KCC and HCRA waivers for you in the Hale, as well as on the club website > Documents > Paddlers Open 2026. Please sign one of each and put in envelope labeled “Paddlers Open”.
• Email paddlersopen@gmail.com with your sponsor’s name (if you have one) and/or team name(s) with the number of crews you are intending to participate in each category (see below)

  Women, Men and Mixed crews for Keiki, Novice, Kupuna and Experienced paddlers
  
• FEE: • $150.00 for OC6 (single) and double hull crew.
